Bio extended

The Headless is a space rock and alt metal band from Michigan. We play heavy, atmospheric, guitar-driven music with big vocal hooks and layered fuzzed-out guitars. Our songs pack key changes and tempo shifts into four or five minutes, the kind of structure another band might spread across a ten-minute prog epic. If you like Failure, Faith No More, Hum, or Superheaven, we're in that general area.

We've been playing together in different combinations for years, most recently as Diver, with various side projects along the way. We record in bedrooms and basements around the state and put a lot of work into the production, especially the tones and how the layers stack.

Flint. Daily.“In Flint’s music scene, there’s always room to start again” May 2026

“I realized there’s this gap in my life where the community aspect of being in a band was really missing for me. Going to shows and rooting for other bands and being a fan of those bands … and just being involved more in the Flint community was kind of missing. That really drew me back into starting up another thing. The thing that really solidified my love of music is when I took time off from it.”
